Have not written much this last month because every time I turn on the tube or the radio I find myself holding my head and cringing about what those jokers are doing in Washington. Despite the fact people have made it quite clear that they do not want the Government to force the same old Health Care Bill and would rather see a new Bi-Partisan effort, the same old same old is being debated and repackaged. Then we find out that Obama wants to push the cost back until 2017. Interesting.
Then Nancy Pelosi says that the Democrats share many of the same ideas with the Tea Party Movement. WHAT!!! Is this the same women who last year said that we were Astro-Turf being paid by the GOP? The same women who compared us to the anti-gay protesters who murdered Harvey Milk.
I think I need a drink,
Cheers,
Mike

Cell Phone use while driving not so dangerous after all
About 2 years ago The Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) insisted we needed to push legislation to ban cell phone usage while driving. They claimed that there was enough evidence to show that such laws would certainly have a positive net impact on vehicle crashes. Now the very same bureaucrats who urged for the laws have released the most recent study done showing that there is a zero impact from such laws when compared to other area with no such laws.
More freedom lost at the expense of the American Citizen. Of course some will argue that driving while using a cell phone is obviously dangerous so it's still a worth while law. People like this who would give up a little freedom for some security deserve neither freedom nor security, at least that's what Benjamin Franklin believed.

Is the Tea Party really over?
It appears a new website http://www.theteapartyisover.org/ is claming that the Tea Party Movement is dead. It also claims the movement is dangerous. Is any of this true? Well if you ask anyone who is involved with the movement I think you'll find it's just getting ready to rumble in 2010. Many people are getting ready to make some serious changes in Congress while taking back rights for the citizens of this nation.
Some like the folks at the Daily Caller have found that the organization who runs this website,
"The American Public Policy Committee" is actually funded by SEIU, AFL-CIO and AFSCME. Now why would union labor be supporting an organization who's attacking the Tea Party Movement unless they see it as a threat. I guess the larger question here is why does union labor see us, The Tea Partiers as a threat? We are simply a group of people who believe in Smaller Government, Less Spending and more accountability from the top. Many of us also happen to believe in protecting our 1st & 2nd amendment rights. Why is this dangerous?
As I write this there are already many events planned and in the works for 2010. If you ask this Tea Party person if the movement is dead I think I'll use the words of Sarah Palins father, No, we're reloading.
Cheers,
Mike
