Do we need to support Israel?

We need to support Israel because this is the prophesy the Bible speaks about.  I don't understand this argument. 

 

Most would agree that the bible is clear on defense, and the possession of weapons to defend, but did the United States fulfill a Biblical prophesy in 1948 by creating a nation destined for war? I think that's a self fulfilling prophesy if I've ever seen one. The  Palestinian people people were there in the desert over a hundred years prior to us having ripped their land away so we could create a Jewish state in the middle of an Islamic desert. Then we armed those Jews for war, and we criticize others for arming the Muslims. Does this make any sense, to anyone? Now, today, people are looking at this whole situation like it's some kind of biblical prophesy. HELLO!!! SNL, couldn't make this shit up. Throwing together mortal enemies, adding weapons, and then standing back to see what happens.... OMG!!!, they're fighting, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! This must be what the bible talked about.....

Further more, the U.S.A is a nation of individuals. Belief in God is not prerequisite in order to be a citizen.

We are not a Christian Nation. 

 

Many people are christian and I have no problem with that. If those people wish to pickup their sword and flock to Israels defense, I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with, is when people believe that we as a nation have an obligation to commit lives to a war that has nothing to do with our own sovereignty.

I understand many people have a deep passion for Israel, but that passion has nothing to do with our rights and freedoms as American Citizens. Keep in mind there is still no war to speak of. Yes, there are threats and there will always be threats but when we look for a leader, a President for the United States of America, we need to look for a person who has Our (the Nation known as the United States of America) best interests in mind. We are looking to elect the POTUS, not the Christian Crusader of the world. That person has an obligation to ensure the existence of our land and our freedom not that of Israel. I believe that task currently belongs to Benjamin Netanyahu.

Let's just say for a moment that we vote for a candidate who promises to use all of our resources to defend Israel, up to a full scale nuclear war. Is that what's in our best interests?

The American People elected Woodrow Wilson because he promised to keep us out of war. We now know that was never his intention as he fully expected to get into the war and he did just that as soon as he was elected. Now, we have people turning away from a candidate who is promising to keep us out of war, and instead looking to support candidates who are almost promising to get us into a war. These are strange times indeed.

Casey Anthony

Normally I would not even waste any time on this but so many people are talking about it, I might as well get my thoughts out on the trial.  Is she guilty?  Probably...  But Probably is not good enough.

My grandfather once told me something just like this when I was a young boy. My grandfather was not a stupid man, he may not have been well read, and I'm pretty sure he never read anything by Voltaire but he once spelled this out albeit in a more graphic fashion. He told me "that it was better to allow a murderer to go free than a hang an innocent man.", he further explained to me that nothing could bring the dead back, no matter how angry you are and no matter how much better you feel when the murderer is laid to rest, the dead do not come back.

We now know that many innocent people have been hung for the crimes of others. As our technology improves, we continue to free people from the shackles of imprisonment. No amount of compensation can make up for time served, for lost life and lost time with family, and certainly no compensation can be made for innocent life taken in retribution.

Casey Anthony certainly is guilty of many crimes the least of which is being a horrible mother and possibly the worst is murder of her own daughter. But possibly is not good enough, many would argue that absolute certainty isn't good enough, to take a life in exchange for a life. One thing is for certain, no one is going to feel good about this in the end, that's why murder and death are so horrific.

In closing, I would like to ask all the people who are bent out of shape over the not guilty verdict if they feel this upset everyday when driving by a planned parenthood clinic? You do after all thirst for punishment of Casey Anthony for ending the life of her own daughter, does that thirst not extend to all mothers who commit the same crime? If not, how do you justify one and not the other, what right do you have to lay judgment for one life but not all life. Is it because this one is all over the T.V. and you can see pictures of the beautiful little girl?

Hidden NPR Video

If you heard about the Hidden Video that led to the NPR head to resign, you really should watch it. It's so much more than just the fact that they call TEA Partiers racist and Major Newspapers Zionist. They posed as members of a Muslim Brotherhood Front Group who wanted to to donate 5 Million Dollars to NPR in order to help spread Sharia Law into the United States of America. These NPR Executives has no problem with that.

This is why we need to Defund NPR.

Egypt Riots could lead to less freedom

Thousands of people in the streets of Egypt send a powerful message to the world indeed. One thing is clear, the good people of Egypt want more freedom. The way these people are going about it however might not be in their best interest. After watching closely all the reports and analysis on these events over the last few days I am left with the feeling that many do not fully understand what is really going on over there. I'm not suggesting that I personally understand all the dynamics myself, I'm just pointing out that there is little or no consensus on the matter.
In fact I'll admit that my knowledge on Egyptian history is limited, but I do know people who have traveled all over the middle east as well and claim that Egypt was stable and safe in comparison.

Sometime it's better to deal with the Devil you know.

President Mubarak hardly a true democratic leader with 30 years of rule under his belt might not be what I as an American look up to as role model but I can envision a much worse situation for the country of Egypt. If he is removed by force who will take control? Will the people of Egypt be able to secure freedom in their own country and form a real system of self governance free from Sharia Law? Or will it be like the overthrow of the Shaw in Iran; if the Muslim Brotherhood is able to gain control will the Egyptian people find themselves less free. Right now there are far more questions than answers.

Religion and Libertarianism

Religion and Libertarianism are natural allies. Libertarians do not care what religion you practice as long as you refrain from forcing this religion onto others. The only time a genuine liberty minded individual will squawk at religion is when said religion begins to force itself onto you either through violence or the worst case scenario government endorsement. Even atheist Libertarians who denounce the very existence of a higher power will often fight for your right to practice this belief. Religion in return holds out hope to save as many unbelievers as possible. Christians tend to embrace this as a challenge always reminding the other side that their door is open when they are ready.

There is however a force that goes against both of these philosophies. Totalitarianism or any political ideology that nears it, must do away with both the religious as well as the individualist in order to rule. A government must eliminate or suppress expression of faith in order to gain full control of heart and mind. This must of course include any person or group who only want to make decisions for themselves. It's time people of faith take a good hard look at the political climate and decide their position in the battle at hand. Who is really on your side?

IL SB1716 "Civil Unions"

I'm really confused by the all the mess that this legislation (SB1716) is stirring up. I have always been and will continue to be against "Gay Marriage" based on the belief that Government simply should not be involved in marriage. I have however always been on the side of equal rights for all, this includes gay people. I think "Marriage" should remain as it has always been, a spiritual union. This is a decision that should be made solely between the couple and the religious institution. I have never heard anyone argue that Gay People should not be giving equal rights when it comes to property and decision making.

(I'm sure there are some loons out there but I have not heard them and I'm sure they are not taken very seriously)

That said, this legislation SB1716 seems to me the best of both worlds. It allows for Gays to have the same rights and privileges while also protecting the Church. It makes certain verbal definitions such as "Spouse" to become more regular and understood. This should legally tear down any existing walls that Health Care and Financial institutions have in place that may cause a barrier for same sex couples. This will allow them the ability to function in our society with the same rights and privileges as any other married couple while allowing "Marriage" to remain a Church Sanctioned Union.

Now obviously some churches will choose to "Marry" same sex couples while others will not, but this is a matter Uncle Sam need not be involved in. If you do not believe in this type of union you simply will not attend one of these Churches and those who do may choose to join a different denomination.

8-28 Restoring Honor Event Washington D.C.

After spending the day in Washington and seeing first hand what the event was all about, all I can say is thank God for Glenn Beck. He held to his word that the event was going to be non-political and all about Hope, Faith and Charity. The crowd was amazing, this was the first time I have ever attended an event of any size where there was more please and thank you, then screw you and get the hell out of my way. Sure, there was some folks who didn’t like people cutting in on “their turf” but I didn’t see or hear any one make any comments that could be construed as mean, and certainly not violent. That is until we left the event. Anyone who thinks D.C. is a friendly city, has not spent much time there.

Everywhere we went, people were all about jumping in front of us and getting somewhere first. A group of outwardly gay individuals even felt the need to call us “tea baggers” while we ate breakfast at the Luna Cafe, which by the way is excellent and highly recommended to anyone who finds the need to go Washington D.C. If not for the Gaggle of Homo’s (See Steve I can use discretion at times) the Luna would have been a wonderful experience. Even with the incident the service was very kind and food was excellent. In addition to the Luna experience we encountered people all throughout the city who seemed like it was a huge inconvenience having to deal with “Tourists”. This from a City who by all rights should not even be a population center if not for the fact our government is headquartered there and the sole reason anyone ever had for moving to the area in the first place.

I am glad I had the opportunity to participate in the event, I hope that people of faith, all faith can now begin the process of working together to restore our republic. I believe it will be these people who pave the way. If not, who? If not now, when?

Personal Spirituality and Individual Salvation

I take a lot of heat from both sides of the argument on the subject of faith. I consider myself an Agnostic but support and defend freedom of religion as one of our most sacred rights. I wouldn't say I'm not a believer, I just don't believe that the higher power wrote a rule book. Good is either in your heart or it's not. That's between each of us and our own spiritual belief. Freedom on the other hand is universal and a requirement in order to practice faith, so I believe we all can be joined in that fight.

That said I find myself questioning organized religion quite often. It also makes me question why those who are the most critical of my own personal spirituality of those who follow one flavor or another of organized religion. It seems those who are the "the most" faithful are also the "the most" critical. This doesn't make a whole lot sense to me but it's something that I've learned to accept. I only hope that those who have faith will come together now and work towards our common goals.

Montana School to teach homosexuality to 1st graders

By the 2nd grade, the students will be fully programmed with PC left-wing rhetoric and completely accepting everything about the homosexual lifestyle with no regard to the beliefs of their family or their faith. The School plans to ensure that by 5th grade all students are taught every aspect of oral and anal penetration. This is all part of the normal curriculum, not an optional program parents can choose take or leave.

This story is in addition to the School in Massachusetts that is preparing to hand out condoms to all students including Kindergarten students without any communication with the parents. Is it any wonder why more parents are finding the home school option more appealing? Interesting that while schools are choosing these extreme Liberal platforms more states are considering making it more difficult if not illegal, to home school their own children.

We have officially reached a point in this country that Home Schooling is the only option for those who do not wish to have Bureaucrats choose the flavor of indoctrination your children will receive.

Harry Ward came before Jim Wallis

Sometimes I think Glenn Beck is stealing my ideas for his show.  I swear I had been working on this since April when I first read about Harry Ward, then Glenn Beck goes and does a whole show on this topic before I have a chance to complete it.  Anyway, whether you believe me or not here is my little 2 cents on Harry Ward and the roots of "Social Justice".    

Harry F. Ward was on the forefront of Social Justice before anyone even knew who the Marxist Jim Wallis was.  Harry Ward a fellow traveler and professor at the Union Theological Seminary in New York City, actually compared the actions of the communists to those of Jesus.  He also wrote, "The Social Creed of the Churches", the most widely circulated expression of the Social Gospel which attempted to articulate the social ethics of Christianity.  Harry F. Ward was also believed to be involved with as many as 60 communist front organizations as a professor adding credence to the thought that communists were actively infiltrating the education system in this country.  

Some have been targeted for pointing out Jim Wallis's beliefs in Social Justice. By his own word he is a Marxist who admits to a belief  the bible teaches governmental redistribution of wealth.  This man was an outcast for decades but no matter how crazy he may be it is important that we do not allow his actions to overshadow the fact that Harry Ward came first in line.  Without Mr. Ward laying the ground work it would have been impossible for this Jim Wallis to operate.  

Now it is up to each and every one of us to consider whether we will allow the Government to infiltrate our churches once again in order to use the power of their influence over us.  Keep in mind a large portion of these people are godless to begin with.  Using the church and Jesus Christ as a pawn takes no skin off their back, it only serves as a vehicle for them to further push the Agenda of Progressivism. 

Whether or not you're Christian, Muslim or Jew these tactics should scare the heck out of of you.  They've been used before, like so many other tricks.  We need to understand our past in order to survive the future.  In order to see where we are going we first need to know where we are and where we came from.

13 Countries with the least Religious Freedom

The U.S. Religious freedom Commission recently released a list of the 13 countries with the least amount of religious freedom. The List included all 8 of the nations on the same list last year. 


Those on the list include:

• Myanmar (Burma)
• China
• Eritrea
• Iran
• North Korea
• Saudi Arabia
• Sudan
• Uzbekistan
• Iraq
• Nigeria
• Pakistan
• Turkmenistan
• Vietnam

Funny how all of these Nations also have governments who are no friend to America and the American Way way of life.  Possibly the most disturbing name on that list is Iraq, after all of the influence we have on that Nation we should think they would be more open to religious freedom, especially after the Saddam regime. 
The panel did criticize the current and former administrations in Washington for doing far too little to make basic religious rights universal.

This should give us something to think about as we wonder the actions of our own government as we continue to lose more and more freedom every year.  It doesn't really matter where you stand on matters of religion, the freedom of religion is one of the most basic rights.  Without this right, no other freedom is truly attainable.

Leonard Pitts attacks Glenn Beck again!

Leonard Pitts the Opinion columnist for the Miami Herald should be ashamed of himself. He seems to have a personal vendetta against Glenn Beck and has no problem going so far as to lie in order to discredit him. In his March 2010 column about Glenn Beck and Social Justice, he states that Glenn said "Social Justice" is code word for Nazism and communism. In fact Glenn Beck said "Social Justice" was code word for "Marxism." It just so happens that both Communism and Nazism have roots in Marxism, but that does not mean all who preach Social Justice are Nazi's or Communists. Many are simply ignorant to the fact they are related and have themselves been sucked in by the feel good idea that Social Justice is simply innocent terminology.

The really shocking thing about this whole story is that Rev. Jim Wallace openly admits that he believes the bible is about Social Justice and Redistribution of Wealth. This is why Mr. Beck told his audience to investigate and run away as fast as they can if they find this to be the case in their church or place of worship. Leonard Pitts claims to have ran this by 2 other preachers who second Wallis's testament. I guess those are the kind of people that Leonard Pitts surrounds himself with.

I do not claim to be a world renowned theologian or any kinds of bible scholar but I'm pretty sure that the Bible does not speak of redistribution of wealth. I mean which section would that be exactly, Barrack 10:13 and he said, "It's not that I want to punish your success it's just that I want to make sure that everyone who's behind you has a chance for success to, I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

I'm pretty sure Jim Wallis is reading his bible a little differently than most, but I'll let each of you make that decision for yourself.

Text Books in Texas

Proposed Changes to School Text books supported by the Texas Freedom Network

• Eliminate Any mention of Independence Day
• Ban Christopher Columbus, Daniel Boone and General Patton
• Remove the Liberty Bell as a historical symbol
• Remove any mentions of Religious views held by out Founding Fathers

The Texas Board of Education is holding public hearings over these proposed changes.
The Liberty Legal institute is helping in the fight against these changes. Changes by the Texas Board of Education could impact changes all over the country since Texas is the largest state which uses the adoption system for school text books. This means text book publishers follow their lead and push these books to other smaller states. States which use the open Territory system then have incentive to use these books as well since they are readily available and already widely used.

The Texas Freedom Network suggests that the current curriculum is dominated by right wing religious extremists. I guess only religious extremists want children to learn about things like the Liberty Bell and Independence day. These changes should scare the hell out of anyone who actually cares about freedom and liberty as well as anyone who simply cares about our children's ability to continue to learn actual history in school.

A story broke on the weekly standard that Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska was threatened with an Airforce base closure if he didn't play ball and vote for Health Care reform. This story has received a huge amount of attention and many left winger news outlets have gone on record calling this story a smear. Michael Goldfarb, who released the story said himself "that it was not a very credible threat". He was simply reporting the story and for his trouble now he is being targeted as a loone despite the fact that 20 Senators have gone on the record now signing a letter asking for a hearing to investigate the matter.

Governor Doyle of Wisconsin has signed a bill into law requiring public Schools to teach Organized Labor (Union Propaganda). This despite the fact that teachers and the board of education are not in favor of such legislation. This will ensure that future students are taught the history of organized labor in a positive light without looking at the negative ramifications that unionization brings or the history of the abusive tactic that labor has used in it's history.
I only wonder if Union campaign contributions could have played any part in his decision?

Then we have an eight year old boy who was asked by his teacher to draw a Christmas scene decided to draw a picture of Jesus on the cross. He and his family had just traveled to see a very historic church with a crucifixion display. Now keep in mind this child is eight years old, he drew the picture with X's on the eyes of the figure on the cross. His teacher immediately had the boy removed from class and had him questioned as to the reason for his drawing. he explained it was Jesus on the cross but the they kept after him, asking him why he drew the picture. The boy then said it was him on the cross. Now because he said this the school ordered the boy get a full psychiatric evaluation in order to return to school. If this isn't religious persecution, I don't know what is.

In another story pertaining to religious liberty, a young child reading the bible during quiet time in her New Jersey School was told that the Bible is not acceptable reading material. The teacher noticed what she was reading and told her she most put the bible away. Reading books is one the accepted activities during quiet time, but I guess only books approved by the teacher are allowed to be read. The School later releases a statement claiming that this teacher had made an error and the the Bible is acceptable reading material but by then the damage is done. Yet one more example of liberalism/progressives at work in our public schools.

Well now we have a convicted felon married to a U.S. Congresswomen attending State Dinners. I guess it makes sense since while he was in prison he wrote the manual for President Obama's success. Again, if not for Glenn Beck this issue probably would have never made it into the thoughts of millions of Americans. "Stand up Straight" by Robert Cramer reads like a handbook on how a progressive president can change America by 2009. It's interesting how all of the ideas in the book have been implemented by President Obama or the progressive left movement before he was elected. Just another piece of the puzzle to prove their is a hidden movement in this country.

Also this week we have Al Gore at it again claiming, "The anti-Climate Change Movement is at it's sunset". I think Al's been drinking too much kool-aid if he actually believes his opponents are about finished. In Copenhagen there will be yet another large showing of scientists who do agree with the man made climate change theory. And we find out that a piece of ice as large as the state of California was lost do to "Sensor Drift" . I guess the polar Bears aren't almost homeless after all. Of course Presbo also got in on the action during his Coppenhagen speech saying, "we all need to come together on climate change". You think that might have something to do with how much the U.S. and the rest of the developed world has riding on Green investments? If you know Al Gore you should ask him how much he has invested.

In China the communist regime has decided to crack down on the spread of Christianity when they kicked down the doors of China's first 50,000 member strong Mega Church. The Leaders are now in jail and the church has been taken over by government authority and is currently under guard. This is the very same country that owns a significant portion of our U.S. Debt. Just think whether you support this kind of regime or not you're helping to fun it each and every time you buy something with one of those little Made in China stickers.

ACLU at it again! Take the cross down it offends me!

The ACLU wants a Veterans memorial in the Desert that has stood for 70 years to be taken down. The memorial is a simple cross that they say represents the governments endorsement of a religion. It's a simple cross in a rock in the desert! It's there as a memorial to fallen heroes of a past war. Why does The ACLU has continue this fight to secularize every facet of American life? Could it be because America is now one of the largest Muslim nations? Why is it that so many groups have come to protest against moves like this but the ACLU and organizations like it keep winning these ridiculous battles?

I think these are some important questions we need to ask ourselves and our representatives in Washington. Is this how we really want our country to change? Do we want to live in country where the religious beliefs of most of the citizens and our founders fathers is supressed because of those who find it offensize and simply can't understand it?


This has got to come to an end!

PBS to End Religious Programming!

Well Score another point for the anti-faith movement in one of the largest Muslim Countries in the world. Is this really were we as a nation are moving towards. Anyone that knows me well knows that I am not a very faithful person, but I have respect for those that do. I have no problem with those who wish to express their faith have outlets to do so, and if PBS wants to allow this there should be no restriction in place that would hinder that action.

The real question here is why now. The so-called rule has been in place for some time now. PBS has never worried themselves over it until now. Why Now? Who is making this happen?

I'm going to look closer into this one. I suggest everyone who loves freedom do the same. Maybe we can overturn the rule that's been in place for 25 years. Then PBS wouldn't have an issue at all.

Religious Liberty

Why is it that it's always one way or the other when it comes to religion? Where's the compromise? The founders of this country obviously had a strong belief in god but they also had a strong belief that a church should not be in charge of the government. I don't know if the republicans really wants the church to control, the nor do I claim that the democrats want to control the church. But it seems that too much religion gets mixed into our politics these days.

Everyone has the right to freely choose his or her own religious belief. When it comes to policy however I don't believe that a person should use his or her own belief to mandate what others can or can't do. For instance, I respect life. I could not suggest to anyone an abortion. But I would not forbid someone from doing so because I don't believe that it's right. That is exactly the type of situation that we as a country need to understand is dangerous.

I know many who read this will disagree with me but please consider what would happen if each and every important decision for our society was based on a religious belief or the bible. Who's belief would we choose from, which bible, the Koran maybe? We are one the largest Muslim countries, right? "LOL" And there lies the problem with that frame of mind. Obama says, we are one the largest Muslim Countries, does that make it so? Of course not, but if we mandate that a church or set of beliefs rule the land, then we are in for allot of trouble.

If you don't believe in abortion, the best and single most powerful thing you can do, is to not have one. Protest if you must, but don't protest with the goal of mandating for someone else. Protest with the goal of changing someones mind.
