If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, will you support whoever does?

This is the question many neo-cons and Republican party hacks have been asking lately.

The simple answer is no. The only person I and many if not all of my fellow Ron Paul supporters will vote for, is Ron Paul. I highly Doubt Paul would support Romney, he's not a party hack and he knows how much credibility he would loose if he did such a thing. Paul stands by his principles, he's done this for 3 decades so I don't think he would start towing the party line now. Republican is not better than Democrat, Freedom is better than tyranny, so supporting Romney in any way would be akin to giving your jailer a rope and asking him to tie you up and hang you. Romney is not for small government, he is not for fiscal responsibility and he is not for free markets, he's a crony capitalist and a statist, pure and simple. He's proven this with his past legislative actions. Paul on the other hand has proven that he will stand, alone if necessary, for what is right.

Some Christians like to say that it's not important what a person does when people are watching, but what they do when no one is looking. Flip that in reverse. Paul has stood alone so many times when everybody was looking. He did the right thing when so many where doing the wrong thing. He's stood for our rights, our freedoms and the U.S. Constitution, when others were poking fingers at him, and making jokes about the Constitution being "outdated" and "obsolete". He’s the only one who understands non-interventionism and proper use of the U.S. Military. He doesn’t believe in any foreign aid, while others pander for votes by giving money away like we can just print more. (Oh wait, they can)… Ron Paul should be the natural choice for TEA Party minded people, but instead, their judgment has been clouded by so many other issues that have nothing do with anything and in some cases, fly’s right in the face of what they claim to believe. Ron Paul would be Obama's worst nightmare in a general election, because anti-war and civil liberties, liberals would take a good hard look at Paul and realize he might be the real deal. But go ahead and choose Romney because the, (“R”) after all is more important…

How could I vote for anyone else? I can't.

Cheers,

Mike

Only Ron Paul's plan will actually reduce the Debt!!!

They used to say you can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. I think it ought to be changed to, You can fool most of the people most of the time.

U.S Budget Watch recently released a report showing that the Debt will increase under Romney’s, Gingrich’s, and Santorum’s tax plans. The Report shows that only Ron Paul's plan will actually reduce the deficit. Today Rush Limbaugh told his audience to ignore this report because the non-partisan group is schill for the Obama administration. How low with the establishment go in order to stop Ron Paul?

Click here to see the report that shows only Ron Paul's plan will actually reduce debt.

Do you support the Troops? Support Ron Paul, because they do

When active duty military soldiers reach into their own pockets to help support a Presidential Candidate Pre-Primary, who do they support?  Overwhelmingly they support Ron Paul.  Yes, the man who many claim is un-American, the man who they say doesn't support our troops, has once again received the most Campaign contributions for the 3rd quarter from active duty servicemen.  Also, he raised 2 to 1 support over President Obama, who raised a total less then in the 2nd quarter.  Not only has Ron Paul received the most campaign contributions but he alone has raised more money so far than Barrack Obama and ALL the Republican Candidates COMBINED, from Active Duty Military.

Of course a little over $100,000 isn't enough to win the election, and it's a far cry from the nearly $36 Million that Mitt Romney has raised.  But when you decide who to support for President in 2012 are you going to choose a candidate supported by big money or a man who is favored by the good men and women who risk their lives defending freedom across the world.  No matter how you feel about the foreign wars or whether you agree with Ron Paul on everything he stands for, don't you think the soldiers choice should matter more than the big money influences that propel RINO's like Mitt Romney and Rick Perry to front runner status?

I do, and I plan to support Ron Paul for the GOP nomination.

If you support the troops, I ask you to support the candidate who the troops support.

Support Ron Paul

Personal Observations; TEA Party Rallies vs Occupy Protestests

TEA Party leaders (TPL's) often plan months in advance for a rally.

Occupy Protestors (OP's) also planned months in advance.

TPL's obtain permission to use a location which often times also included obtaining permits and insurance polices.

OP's Just show up in a large crowd disrupting everyone else. This includes but is not limited to Reducing business to the surrounding shops, Blocking traffic which prevents people from being able to get to the hospitals and any other place requiring access to a major bridge.

TPL's make sure to provide locations for participants to have access to washrooms. Sometimes they even order porta-potties just to be sure.

OP's pee in the bushes and shit into plastic bags and expect the local businesses to dispose of their waste. Then they bitch and moan because the owners of the private property they occupy, want to clean said property.

TPL's are often canceled due to political pressures on those who have granted use of private locations. Despite this frustration, NO TEA PARTY EVENT HAS EVER BEEN VIOLENT.

OP's use the power of their numbers to scare weak political leaders into bending over for them due to fear of violent retaliation. Then they threaten boycotts on local businesses that do not wish to grant them public access to their shops.

TPL's show respect for their leaders, even when they disagree with them, they often provide a platform for them to show up and explain themselves. This is often ignored by those leaders but it is almost always available.

OP's refuse to let senior members of the political organizations they are "Protesting" to speak. (They have allowed a select few members of Congress to pat them on the back, but only when they knew the response would be positive)

Summary:

TPL's have a history of respectful protest and despite this track record they are treated poorly by many. They are often prevented from organizing new events in fear that there may be violence and retaliation.

OP's literally shit on private property while dancing naked and have become darlings to the media and the left wing members of Congress.

Florida's GOP Presidential Straw Poll Results

Herman Cain won Florida’s Presidency 5 straw poll.

This poll does have a pretty good record of picking candidates but the important thing to remember is that only 2,657 specially selected Republican voters were allowed to vote in the straw poll unlike other states which allow all party voters to participate. Rick Perry and Mitt Romney who are dubbed the "front runner's" came in 2nd and third each receiving less than half the votes of Herman Cain. My favorite Ron Paul, who many say have no chance, received only 5% less votes that Perry or Romney.

Also remember that Florida has a history of allowing people to vote multiple times in their straw poll, if selected delegates allow surrogates to vote for their tickets, which cost $175 each.

Total results are as follows.

Herman Cain - 996 (37.1%)
Rick Perry - 409 (15.4%)
Mitt Romney - 372 (14.0%)
Ron Paul - 276 (10.4%)
Newt Gingrich - 224 (8.4%)
Jon Huntsman - 60 (2.3%)
Michele Bachmann - 40 (1.5%)

Small Government TEA Party Ideals

Constitutionally limited government, free market trade and fiscal responsibility.

I prefer candidates who share these ideals, but not just recently, I look for candidates who have been sharing them for years. Ron Paul is the only Presidential Candidate who fits that bill. Rick Perry and Mitt Romney as well as almost every other candidate have begun to sound like Paul but none of them can show any kind of record to prove they live by it. Mitt Romney Romney and John Huntsman are going to attend a TEA Party Express event this weekend but neither of these guys can show any record to prove they stand on TEA Principles.

Rick Perry has even jumped on the TEA Party bandwagon claiming to be for small government. That's almost laughable, but a recent Gallop poll published by USA Today shows TEA Party supporters back Rick Perry. My first thought is where are they getting these TEA Party supporters from while my second thought is hoping that it's really not this easy to fool TEA Party supporters, is it? I hope not.

Rick Perry is a big government statist, a central planner of the highest order. It's bad enough he tried to mandate that teenage girls should receive the highly controversial vaccination Gardisil he later admitted it was the wrong move only to clarify that they should have used the state legislature to get it done. AS IF THAT'S BETTER!!! Limited Government, please?

I believe our nation is in need of leader who wants to put America first. A leader who will help rebuild our greatness. I want a leader who can show support for these ideals. A verifiable track record, so I can rest assured they will stand by them. For the sake of our nation I hope we can elect such a leader in 2012.

The Congressional Black Caucus declares war on the TEA Party Movement

The TEA Party movement has been attacked and ridiculed for some time now but the The Congressional Black Caucus has sent their representatives back to their districts with one unified message. That message is loud and clear. "the TEA Party movement is the enemy." Now they are in full force, mustering strength all across the nation on a plan of attack to discredit and slander anyone who associates themselves with the TEA Movement. What are our choices at this point? We can either yield or we can stand strong and take the brunt of the attack on the nose. I shall stand, are you with me?

Michelle Bachmann supported Big Labor before she was against it.

In 2007 Michelle Bachmann not only voted for, but she co-sponsored a bill supported by then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to essentially force unionization of public sector public saftey workers. The bill H.R. 980 known as the Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2007 can found here.

Michele Bachmann has disavowed her 2007 sponsorship of a bill granting collective-bargaining rights to firefighters and police officers. A spokesperson Alice Stewart said she signed onto the bill because she was given "bad information" and has since reversed her position. So wait a minute, she didn't read and understand the bill? That doesn't sound very TEA Party does it? Ron Paul on the other hand, voted NO.

U.N. Agenda 21

If you don't know about U.N. Agenda 21 yet, you really need to learn about it.

U.N. Agenda 21 is a plan for sustainable development (Green Development)on a global scale. It could be a means of instituting "centralized control" over the planet. Of course many of the big global players and hostile nations will probably never go for such a thing the U.S. is right on board. Please read the Agenda 21 plan yourself.

Then keep your eyes open for what's going on around us.

Another interesting development just uncovered is the fact that Rick Perry former Texas Governor has some experience with Agenda 21 already. The NAFTA superhighway was a giant Public Private Partnership that was widely dubbed the largest State land grab in the History of our nation. A man who will support this type of Government action will stop at nothing to succeed. Do you know where his loyalties lie? I don't.

Dissecting the Ames Straw Poll Results

This years results from Ames are intriguing very intriguing. People like Mark Levin still refer to Ron Paul as a loon. On Friday Levin says there is no groundswell of support for Ron Paul even though his activists try to create the illusion of support in these straw polls. That's some illusion.

Ron Paul received 4671 votes in Iowa. That's 1% less than the winner or 152 votes less to be exact. That's fewer votes than the 217 that were unaccounted for, but I'm not going to get into the conspiracy side of it. Rather I'd like to focus on the huge gap between Ron Paul "the loon" and the rest of the field. In Iowa, interventionism still runs fairly high. Levin and war Mongers like him will have you believe that Ron Pauls opinions from Thursday's debate are crazy. If they are crazy, why did so many Iowians vote for Paul on Saturday?

The Gap between Paul and the rest is huge. Ron Paul received more than twice the votes of the third place finisher Tim Pawlenty. He received 3 times the votes of 4th and 5th place finishers Rick Santorum and Herman Cain. If you look at the above graph it looks like Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann were in a different competition that the rest of the field. Newt Gingrich who scored some points last Thursday only received 385 votes. Mitt Romney "The Media's Front Runner" only received 567 votes. Mitt of course left Iowa after the Debate and did not attend the Straw Poll, but I personally don't think this effects the results as many Iowians go to Ames to vote, not decide who to vote for.

If people in the heart of the Midwest feel this strongly about Liberty I hope the rest of the nation takes notice. Only time will tell but until then I continue to support Ron Paul in his run. Good luck Doctor, you have my vote.

Cheers,

Mike

Let the spending begin!!!

Now that we have a brand new debt deal the economy should rebound right? Well the very next day the DOW Jones average fell 265 points and gold shot up $40 an ounce. Not exactly the type of reaction one would expect from a debt deal that supposedly was saving us from a catastrophic default.

Just as Washington was announcing the new Debt Deal the Bank of Korea announced the purchase of 25 tons of gold over the last two months. This marks the country's first gold purchase in 13 years. Central banks tend to buy gold when they need to diversify their holdings and are not necessarily market timed. Not only has Korea increased their holding recently but so has Kazakhstan, Russia and Thailand.

Why are they increasing their gold holding? Well I think the answer is simple. The U.S. Dollar is heading into very treacherous territory. The debt deal doesn't solve anything. NOTHING!!! The debt ceiling is going up and spending will continue to rise right along with it. To fully understand what the Congress just did, look at this graph provided by the Cato Institute.

Every single Congressman and Senator who says this deal is a step in the right direction is flat out lying to you.

If they start talking about another round of Quantitative Easing (QE3) remember you were warned. This government will continue to borrow, spend and create money until there is no value left in the U.S. Dollar.

Mike

The Day After, how did the markets react?

So one day after the Debt Deal was reached how did the markets react to the plan that's supposed to save the sky from falling? Gold is up $40 Dollars an ounce and the DOW Jones is down 265 points. How's that for market confidence? Gold is now $1660 per oz. that's another historic high.

Timothy Geithner said, "I'm not sure whether the bitterly fought debt agreement will be enough to avoid a downgrade of the U.S. top-tier credit rating. "

Our Government, our leaders and our President seem hell bent on destroying the U.S. Dollar if it's the last thing they do. Count your lucky stars for the 24 Brave Members of Congress who voted against this plan and prepare for a fight like you've never seen before. If we don't turn this around in 2012 there is no telling how bad things might get.

Cheers,

Mike

BUDGET CONTROL ACT AMENDMENT 8-1-2011

The complete text can viewed here.

The House will be debating this shortly.

The bullet points from the 74 page bill are below.

The deal puts in spending caps like the bill the Republicans passed last week. The caps are worth about $917 billion in cuts over 10 years. Those caps rise from $1.043 trillion in fiscal 2012 to $1.234 trillion in fiscal 2021 they are split between defense and non defense pending.

Leaders in each party and each chamber would appoint three members to a 12-person "Super Committee" that would be tasked with finding $1.2 trillion or more in cuts. The committee would report by Nov. 23, and the bill provides for expedited floor procedures for voting. If they fail to report a bill by November 23 they would lose the special privileges.

If Congress doesn’t act on the "Super Committee" recommendation or if the new law doesn’t meet the reduction goals the difference between $1.2 trillion and whatever is enacted would go into effect. They claim the reductions would be divided equally between defense and non-defense.

The most important issue with the deal is that the debt ceiling will be raised between $2.1 trillion and $2.4 trillion. Obama will get $400 Billion dollars immediately and then he must jump through hoops to get an additional chunk of $500 Billion dollars. Another $1.2 trillion hike can occur when the president requests it but that figure would rise to $1.5 trillion if a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution has been sent to the states for ratification.

I personally do not support anything that allows for the Debt Ceiling to rise again but all early indications are that this bill will likely get approved despite heavy opposition. Ron Paul and a few others have already pledged to vote no. Please continue to contact your Representatives in Congress if you want this measure to fail.

Cheers,

Mike

Cut the Spending!!!

Spending needs to be cut. Plain and simple, It needs to be cut… The Debt ceiling does not need to be raised. Plain and simple, it does not need to be raised.

There will be no default if spending is cut. The Soldiers and all the seniors will still get paid.

I couldn’t care less about a balanced budget amendment, it will take years to get that done anyway and we don’t have time for that fight right now. We need to focus on the Spending.

SPENDING!!! The only thing I want Washington to be looking at is Spending. That’s it. Forget about the Amendment, forget about increased revenue. Cut the Spending. How much more simple can I make this?

I will be watching this very closely and plan to weight my voting decisions heavily on how this situation is handled.

Cut the Spending!!!

Do not raise the debt ceiling, "Cut and Lower"

The debt ceiling in 1981 was 1 Trillion Dollars. ($1,000,000,000,000.00) It's Currently over 14 Trillion Dollars. (14,000,000,000,000.00)

Every President since has raised it. It has been raised 20 times in the last 30 years. Why are we arguing over whether we need to increase the debt limit again when the obvious answer is that we need to lower it. I propose we start pushing our legislators to form a new plan which I'll call, "Cut and Lower".

Cut the spending, cut the size of the Federal Monster and Lower the Debt Ceiling. Then we need a Cap that ties the future debt ceiling to some sort of percentage of GDP so it can't get out of control again. This is the only plan that makes any real sense given the severity of our situation.

Please vote on the Soda Head Poll below.

Danville LiberTEA's Position on the Gambling Expansion

During a recent anti-gambling rally, a statement was made by the Illiana TEA Party (Al Reynolds) denouncing the expansion of gambling and a new casino which could be built right here in Danville, IL. Many people are frustrated by this position. The Illiana TEA party does not represent or speak for the entire area or even the majority of the TEA party movement. One of the core values of the movement is free market trade. A private investor, who wants to spend private money with zero expectation of tax incentive or subsidy, is by no means something that most genuine TEA party supporters would stand against. I understand many in the area are confused about the stance that Illiana TEA has taken against what best can be described as a social issue, which the TEA party generally steers away from. The three core principals of the TEA Party movement are fiscal responsibility, limited government and free market trade, none of which have to do with the moral issues of gambling. The group known as Danville LiberTEA also based here in Danville, IL, does not take issue with a free market enterprise that will bring jobs and growth to the Danville area. Some of our members may personally be against the idea of a gambling establishment based on their personal beliefs but they also understand that these moral beliefs are not at the heart of the TEA party philosophy. I personally believe the Casino is a good idea and have already urged Governor Quinn to pass the legislation. I only write this to educate and inform as some have expressed a distaste toward the Tea Party movement based solely on Illiana’s position.

New Hampshire GOP Debate

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that the CNN debate in New Hampshire was setup to diminish the star factor of several of the candidates while making a couple in particular look much more Presidential. The day after buzz seems to also be favorable to the TEA Party influence on the candidates. I noticed several of the Candidates have adjusted themselves to sound more liberty minded with a few answers almost sounding like they were taken directly from Ron Paul's past speeches. Michelle Bachman obviously prepped well, I almost wonder if she didn't have the questions in advance. I also couldn't help but notice that Ron Paul's issues were greatly avoided, with exception to his standard position on military action and troop withdrawal. CNN is actually reporting Mitt Romney and Michelle Bachman as the biggest winners last night, even though they posted an online mobile poll which Ron Paul won with 79% of the vote.

Weird.

Mike
