It's Time to get Serious, it's not too late, Yet.

We’ve reached a time in our society where things are not as simple as they once were. We used to be able to make a decision simply on what was just and right, this was relatively easy to determine. Those days are long over. People, we need to start putting forth some effort in learning what it means to be free. Learning which of our liberties are still secure and which ones have been stolen from us. It’s not so easy anymore to realize what our politicians are really trying to do, they come up with bills with names that sound good and fair, but are they really? The "Disclose Act" for instance, sure it sounds good that a politician be required to disclose where they get their contributions from, right? What the name does not reveal is that many organizations will be barred from any kind of donation thereby destroying freedom of speech as we know it, as it pertains to elections.

It’s no longer acceptable to sit back comfortably and assume all politicians are the same and it doesn’t matter which is elected. They are "NOT ALL!" the same, there are good people out there who will represent us but many of these people do not have an (R) or (D) next to their name. Many of these people will have an (L) or an (I) next to their name. These are not the people who are all over the news; they are not at the giant conventions and big money fund raisers. We need to start looking outside the box and focus on electing those individuals who best represent our principles and values. If we keep looking inside the box, we are allowing the Media and others to decide for us, who to vote for. Are you comfortable with that? Ask yourself this serious question. The last time you voted in an election, did you really know that the people you selected would represent your best interests? Did you really know what kind of person they were?

There have been a handful of really important bills in just the last couple of years. I don’t really expect many people to know this but again ask yourself, do you know how your Representatives voted on some of these bills? Do you even know which bills I might be referring to? Do you know where your favorite baseball team is in the standings? Do you know the names and records of their starting five? Do you know the life story of your favorite Actor or Actress? We need to start focusing on what is truly important in our lives if want any chance of remaining free and keeping America a great and powerful Nation.

Do you realize there is an active movement right now, trying to implement a National Popular Vote? If you live in Illinois, did you know your state legislature has already enacted this into law as have 4 other states. 5 other states have had it pass both of their legislative houses. The Electoral College is the embodiment of our Founders belief in both federalism and the idea that the country ought not to be dominated only by the largest population centers but equally across the Nation by those who live in Cities and those who live in Rural Areas. A National Popular Vote will create a large area of the Nation that politician’s will not even bother to campaign in because it wouldn’t be worth their time. 100% of the serious Campaigning will be done in New York, LA, Chicago and Boston and other huge population centers located in mostly Liberal States as well as Battle Grounds like Ohio. If you live in a rural state it will be up to your cousins in the big city to decide who will govern you and decide on the policies that will affect you and your business.

How many people who voted for Barrack Obama in 2008 really knew who he was? How many had read his books and understood their implications? How many really took the time to look at his voting record? How many really understood his stated positions? When People like Sean Hannity and Fox News reported on his own words and his involvement in Jeremiah Wrights Church it was written off as propaganda and a scare tactic. It’s time we as citizens really make the effort to inform ourselves on who is running this Nation. We all need to have a vested interest in our future; otherwise the last stand for freedom will come to an end.

It's time we all start taking this a little more seriously before it's too late.

Cheers,

Mike

George Stephanopoulos Logic

If you use George Stephanopoulos logic you can solve any problem, think about it.

If you set aside the deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, there have been no casualties since 2009.

If you set aside all the beer and hard liquor I've drank, I've never been drunk.

If you set aside all the cancer cells in my body, I'm pretty healthy.

If you set aside all the abused boys, Catholic Priests have a pretty good record.

If you set aside all the laws and regulations, we are really pretty free.

Cheers,

Mike

Think Progress most recent Propaganda Video

Think Progress (George Soros) funded and released this Tea Party Racism Propaganda video last week. Pay special attention between 7 seconds and 9 seconds where the white man admits he is a racist, followed by a 1 second blip of a women holding a sign thanking god, for Glen Beck (Glenn is spelled wrong). This photo has nothing racist about it, it's simply a shot of a women who obviously is a strong supporter of Glenn surrounded by shots and video of what appears to be clear racism being supported at Tea Parties.

Now Glenn clears up some of the confusion. Pay close attention between 1:20 and 2:20 where we see the edited clip of the White Nazi racist.

Think Progress is clearly looking out for America.

Cheers,

Mike

Rachel Maddow "Then and Then"

Only a Liberal Talking head can complete a 180 degree turn on dime when it becomes painfully clear the American People are not buying their bullshit any longer. Back in December of 2008 Rachel Maddow spoke highly on the idea of the Giant Government Stimulus Plan, even though many Conservatives warned it was not really Stimulus but more waste and abuse. She mocked and ridiculed John McCain and those who stood against the idea. Then in January of 2009, she came out in disgust over how the money was being wasted and abused.

Earlier this year she slammed Obama and his Spending freeze, she even called him the next Hover. I guess so few people actually watch her show, she is not overly concerned with people catching her on the continual flips.

Is there common ground?

Lately some folks are talking alot about wanting to work together the Right and Left. They complain about all the in-fighting that occurs. That's how I and many like me have felt for long time now. Conservatives have been trying to work with Liberals for years and every time they offer an inch Liberals take a mile. Now we're fed up with dealing with them, it's time to take them out.

No More Dealing. We need to flip the system if we have any chance of fixing it. Van Jones recently told a crowd at a Progressive meeting that they need to work from both the top down and the bottom up. He said, "We already have the White House, the House and the Senate, now we need to work from the bottom up". What do you think he meant by that? They have the country by the balls, all they need to do now, is turn public opinion, and it's game over.

If we continue to allow folks the luxury of this lackadaisical attitude towards politics and all things political we might as well throw in the towel, hand over our guns, turn the air conditioner off, scrap the cars (Notice I didn't say sell them, because it's better for the environment if we just scrap them) buy a set of Obama plates and apply for a good union job at a nationalized company.

I understand this common ground philosophy, but do those who preach it understand that in order to get to common ground we need to first take a hearty jog a few miles to the "right" back towards freedom. It doesn't make much sense talking about common ground when the ground we are standing on is infested and rotten.

Much of the conversation about common ground comes from people who speak against the welfare state, higher spending and cap and trade, but they want to support candidates who will continue to support all those things. You know when you keep shoveling shit, it's going to smell bad no matter how much air freshener you use. What makes these people believe replacing a Congressman with a pretty fair voting record with a progressive in a Very Liberal state is going to help anything? This is not about a Republican vs a Democrat this is about two very different ideologies that happen to have an R or a D next to them.

Cheers,

Mike

Disagree with the NAACP, Support the Tea Party Movement!

The NAACP has passed a resolution Condemning Tea Party movement as a Racist Movement. This is of course just one more attempt to discredit us and render us impotent. If you disagree with the NAACP's position you should let them know.

Please copy and paste the text below (drafted by the Rockford, Illinois Tea Party) into an email with your name, city and state and send it to: washingtonbureau@naacpnet.org

Whereas, the National Coalition for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded to advance the position of minority groups, and

Whereas a hallmark of the NAACP has been to do the important work of identifying and exposing remaining vestiges of racism and discrimination, and

Whereas the NAACP vocally stands against the discriminatory and harmful practice of labeling people with a broad brush, and

Whereas the NAACP decided to launch their 101st National Convention with a resolution condemning the Tea Party movement and labeling millions of their fellow Americans who subscribe to the movement as "racists", and

Whereas the "Tea Party movement" is a label applied to patriotic Americans who have expressed their political free speech in the grand tradition of all that is American, that being the spirited expression of viewpoints in a 100% peaceful manner, and

Whereas, it is a hallmark of America that we settle our disputes civilly and avoid the gutter tactic of attempting to silence opponents by inflammatory name-calling, and

Whereas the very term "racist" has diminished meaning due to its overuse by political partisans including members of the NAACP, and

Whereas, the NAACP had an opportunity to preserve some semblance of legitimacy by standing up for Ken Gladney, the victim of a vicious racist battery conducted by a black avowed communist, even labeling him an "Uncle Tom", but chose instead to use the opportunity to mock the St. Louis Tea Party, and

Whereas, the NAACP has refused to denounce the New Black Panther's call to murder white cops, white Americans and their babies, and

Whereas, the NAACP does its entire membership a grave disservice by hypocritically engaging in the very conduct it purports to oppose,

Now therefore be it resolved that the [Tea Party movement condemns] the NAACP for lowering itself to the dishonorable position of a partisan political attack dog organization, and,

Be it further resolved that the [Tea Party movement] calls on similar organizations to join in unanimous condemnation of this despicable behavior, and

Be it further resolved that we demand that the NAACP withdrawal their bigoted, false and inflammatory resolution against the tea party for any further consideration, and

Be it further resolved that these organizations call on the Internal Revenue Service to evenly apply their standards and consider the tax-exempt status of the NAACP considering the degree to which they are engaging in habitual partisan political behavior.

Adopted unanimously, this day, July 14th

No Lame Duck Session

Below is my letter against a Lame Duck Session. To send your letter, please go to
Freedom Works

July 13, 2010Dear Representative Johnson:
Dear Senator Durbin:
Dear Senator Burris:

Dear Member of Congress,

I continue to hear rumors about a potential "Lame Duck" session that could be held right after the November elections and before the new Congress is sworn-in.

I fear that despite a very different political make-up in Congress, elements of the far Left will view this as their last chance to enact threats to our liberty including:

1. The Cap and Trade Energy Tax Hike!
2. Another "Stimulus" Bailout Scheme!
3. More Tax Hikes at a Time when we can Scarcely Afford them!

This would go directly against the will of the people - having had their say in the November Elections - and I urge you to oppose it as the worst kind of political, dirty-trick.

Should a lame duck session surface, I will be watching your vote very closely on cap and trade, additional taxpayer-funded bailouts, any attempts to increase taxes, and any other policy proposals that erode more of our freedoms and expand the reach of government.

Sincerely,

Mr. Mike Ortiz
