What's bad for the U.S is good for Petrobras!

George Sorros owns a sizable stake in this Brazilian Oil company and the U.S gave them 2 Billion dollars to help them with their deep water drilling project. This is a $133 Billion company? Why did we give them 2 billion dollars? Why is the same administration who claims the danger of drilling at 5000 feet giving money to a company which plans to drill at 15000 feet. Does this make any sense to anyone?

Our President ran a campaign vowing transparency and an end to politics as usual. It seems at face value what we really have is more politics as usual with the heavily connected getting what they want and the politicians getting rich in return while pointing the finger at the usual suspects, big business and big corporations as the bad guy. Never mind the fact Petrobras is also a giant corporation because Petrobras is after all a nationalized company.

If this make you as angry as it makes me it's really about time you get motivated to put an end to this kind of political corruption. Join me in the hunt for new political blood that will get our nation back on the road to freedom and prosperity. We can not end this financial crisis by continuing to spend money, the Government must have it's credit cards taken away. Most of the current leaders need to be replaced with leaders who respect and will defend the constitution of the United States of America, to the death if necessary.

Cheers,

Mike

Supreme Court rules in favor of the Second Amendment

In a 5-4 decision the court has ruled that States cannot significantly restrict guns to people. It stopped short of overturning Chicago's handgun ban. Now we will need to wait for additional court cases to fight the City of Chicago and others that continue to trample on our rights as citizens and instead continue to treat their populations as unarmed peasants. Now that the Supreme court has ruled on this I suspect the White House will have the U.S. Attorney General begin preceding against Cities like Chicago to make them overturn these unconstitutional laws. Well that's how the system should work if we had a President who respected and actually would fight to uphold our Constitution, I'm not going to hold my breath. Instead we will now hear how we need to replace a Liberal Judge with an even more extremely radical activist judge.

Is this really still our Country?

Ed Schultz wants Obama to be a dictator!

When ever President Bush said two words many on the left called Bush a dictator and this was bad thing. They called him a fascist and compared him to Hitler. Here is Shultz not only saying he wants Obama to act like a dictator, he says he doesn't want to hear any more of this bi-partisan crap, no more reaching across the isle. He even says, "those Dam Republicans"! That's weird, a Liberal nut job calling for our President to act like a Dictator and to forget this bi-partisan crap.

hhmmmm.

Restore the Republic!

Are you Ready to Take Back America from the Politicians and Special Interest Groups?

Many Americans believe the answers to most of America's problems can be found by returning to Constitutional Principles. Common sense principles that helped make America the most prosperous and free country on the planet.

Before we can do this we need to learn and understand the real history of America. Self study and support will be the main focus of this group. We can talk, share ideas and get involved in the political process.

If anyone in the area is looking for a 912 (9/12) in or near Danville, IL please check out

East Central IL 912 Group

9 Principles, 12 Values

The 9 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson

* Reverence
* Hope
* Thrift

* Charity
* Sincerity

What is going on?

I came up with the name "Is this really still our Country" when I found myself asking more and more questions about what is going on in the United States of America. For years I've had ideas that there were people behinds the scenes doing things just outside the view of most Americans. I didn't know what those things were or were to look and I was very careful about who I spoke to about this as I didn't want to label myself one of those foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists. Over the last couple years it has been more clear thanks to some of our brave Conservative and Libertarian friends in the media who have gone against the grain to bring more of this out into the open.

Glenn Beck for instance may not be everyone's favorite person in the world (He does hate soccer after all), but he does a service that no one else will do. He goes front and center ever day and puts information out there many would rather us not have access to. He paints a bright red circle around connections and relationships that many would like to keep quiet or even secret. I must admit I really had no idea who Glenn Beck was before he came to Fox. My father in law pointed him out to me and suggested I watch his show. I didn't jump right on because I thought his commercials were kinda corny but one day I was bored and decided to take the plunge. He was wearing a Russian hat and calling his guests comrades, it was great, I was hooked.

It's been a scary road to follow since that day. My DVR never misses an episode. I now must deal with people telling me I'm crazy or stupid for putting any confidence in him. The thing is, he's proving what I've already believed for years. The connections aren't even really hidden, they are right below the surface, if you know where to dig, you find them, right there, staring back at you.

Now we have a President who actually believes he can stop an entire industry just because he believes it's unsafe. Fortunately we have a brave Federal Judge who probably has ended his career to stand up against this nonsense. Senator Lieberman a former Libertarian has sponsored a bill that would give the Feds a way to sensor or even shut down the Internet. This coming from one of the very same people who spoke out against the Patriot Act. I can't help but wonder if I fell asleep and am still inside some dream where 2 +2 = 5.

Cheers,

Mike

The November Tea Party, one for the ages.

Politically, 2010 may be the most pivotal year our country has had in a long time. We the people, of this great nation have a decision to make in November. We need to decide if the Direction we are heading in is the direction we need to be heading in order to preserve our freedom and keep America exceptional. Republicans and Democrats both share the responsibility in turning our Constitution upside down. We now have publishing companies selling copies of U.S Constitution with a disclaimer, claiming the document is obsolete and does not represent the values we hold today. My question to you is simple. Do you agree with this? 2010 is not about Republicans or Democrats; it’s about the agenda the United States of America is going to follow. If we continue down the current path we move farther away from the republican form of Government our Founders created, or we can turn it around and vote for candidates who we feel with bring us back onto the path from which we have strayed.

Here in Vermilion County ( Danville, IL ), The East Central Illinois Tea Party or a Local Tea Party in your area are organizations joined in this fight and we are looking for like minded individuals who want to participate in the political process. Please contact me if you want to learn more about how you can help.

Then and Now and Then

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.

"When an opponent declares, "I will not come over to your side," I calmly say, "Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community."
- Adolph Hitler

"Young men are embarrassed by having inherited their father... See More’s opinions. I have often said that the use of a university is to make young gentlemen as unlike their fathers as possible. I do not say that with the least disrespect for the fathers; but every man who is old enough to have a son in college is old enough to have become very seriously immersed in some particular business and is almost certain to have caught the point of view of that particular business. And it is very useful to his son to be taken out of that narrow circle, conducted to some high place where he may see the general map of the world and of the interests of mankind, and there shown how big the world is and how much of it his father may happen to have forgotten. It would be worth while for men, middle-aged and old, to detach them selves more frequently from the things that command their daily attention and to think of the sweeping tides of humanity."
-Woodrow Wilson

Two Men, Two different approaches, Same Goal. Win the Hearts and minds of the masses by starting with the young. Every tyrannical regime in history has used this technique in one form or another. The left will tell you Children singing and chanting Obama songs, and pledging to be Obama Scholars is harmless? Where were the Bush songs of praise? Have school children ever sang songs in school about a specific sitting President?

This is not a great man who did great things, he's a man who still can't find a solution to plug a hole and keeps blaming Bush for every major problem. A man who has failed to deliver one promise after another and who is now facing a population that is turning on him, yet there are some still urging children to chant praise. Why? I'm sorry but before I chant praise for somebody they had better have split the Red Sea, or at least done something that will shape history in a positive way. President Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize, for doing NOTHING!!!! They even said it was for what he will do. Can you imagine? Hitler and Mussolini were great men back in the day, Time Magazine Men of year. Can you imagine if they would have given Hitler a peace prize, for the good he was going to do? Opps! What message does this send the youth? Don't worry, you can have your award now, because you're going to be great! later!!!

I know I just graduated, and I've only been on the job for a few weeks but can I have a huge bonus now, because I'm going to rock in the future.

Obama to Clamp Down on Oil

After listening to our Presidents speech on the Oil Spill I have nothing but fear in my heart on what is coming. He made it clear, his plans are to remove any shred of freedom that remains at the MMS by implanting a new Oil and Mineral Czar. He is also going to stop off shore oil production for 6 months. Anyone want to guess what this is going to do to the price of oil? This is just more of the same from a man with an Agenda. He is going to use this as the ramp to get to cap and trade by making the argument that only with more regulation and taxes can we fix our energy crisis. Does this make any sense?

We are on that road Hayek wrote about and I for one am looking for a path less traveled. Who's with me?

Pre-War Germany Hitler was a great guy, they voted to give him unlimited power

Fifty three of the Senate's 59 Democrats gave unelected, overpaid bureaucrats at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency a green light yesterday to do pretty much whatever they choose in their quixotic crusade against global warming. All 41 Republicans and six brave Democrats voted for Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's resolution nullifying the EPA's recent usurpation of authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate the U.S. economy to combat greenhouse gases.

Wow 7

Wow!

Here is Barney Frank telling young Democrats they need more power to advance liberalism.

Our President is going to start kicking ass.

I wonder who's ass he's going to kick?

On Monday Rosie O'Donnell said, "I say seize their assets. Right now. Seize their assets today. Take over the [company]. I don't care [how]. Issue an executive order...Call it socialism, call it communism, call it anything you want. Let's watch Rush Limbaugh explode on TV...Seize the assets. Take over BP."

Rosie wants Obama to follow Hugo Chavez. Interesting. Does anyone still wonder why she is no longer on The View?

This one is kinda funny. Nancy Pelosi attended the Progressive “America’s Future Now” Conference where she was heckled by Code Pink.

Oil leak means no one is happy

I've been trying to put my finger on the reason why it seems no one is happy about the BP/Government response over this oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.  I think I've finally hit it.  All the environmental Wack-jobs are pissed at BP and at Obama for not doing more.  BP is pissed at the Federal Government for making the cleanup so much more difficulty and complicated than it needs to be.  Then you've got all the people crying about those effected by the leak.  For a while I didn't get it.  Who's effected I thought?  A few fishermen maybe???  Than I realized the impact this would have on tourism in General and how much money local business were losing since people are not traveling to the coast.

Why is it that a faster more substantive response has not been made for those local businesses who are now affected.  I think I have the answer.  Think about this.  Big Business is bad, right?  Little Business is not as bad as Big Business but it is it's little brother.  The Environmental Wack-jobs don't like them much either.  So what we have here is one great big circle jerk.  Government can't do enough to make it right for the Green Lefties, so they point a finger at the big bad wolf (BP), while demanding they take care of the claims.  But they can't get too involved in that process because they cannot risk coming off as being very pro-business.

Why has the government allowed this disaster to take so long?  Why is it that it seems the whole process is moving at a snails pace?  There are NO acceptable victims!  Nobody especially no one of color is standing on the roof requiring rescue.  All the people who need the most help are the Greedy Rich Business Owners, and no one wants to help them.  It's not good for press.  Just wait a few more weeks.  If BP doesn't find a way to stop this oil before the relief well is ready, we're going to see Obama swoop in with some major plan to save the day, showing he has what it takes to kick BP's ass.

Cheers,

Mike

Jobs or No Jobs, which is better?

431,000 new jobs just reported.  President Obama has said this is a positive sign that our economy is getting stronger even while he admits that many of those jobs were Census jobs.  Yes, Census workers, temporary once every 10 years, Census jobs.  The very same jobs that most people are doing on the side and in addition to whatever they normally do for a living.  The very same jobs that we keep hearing are being over exaggerated at every opportunity.  In fact not just many of these jobs, but 95% of the 431,000 jobs are Public Sector jobs.

Even more disturbing the current report also shows all the construction jobs from new construction that we picked in April were lost in May.  So now the Construction industry is worse off than it was before, during the time of year they usually are ramped up and in full swing.  With this information at hand, 431,000 temporary government jobs and an unemployment rate of 9.7% is supposed to blow up our skirts and make us think the economy is getting stronger.  Really?

This begs to ask the question, does the average person realize public sector jobs are paid via tax dollars?  Does the average American realize that with our current debt, every new job within the government can only add up to one thing?  Which is? Higher Taxes of course.  Every single person working for the government is only costing the country more each and every day.  Now I'm not suggested that we eliminate ALL of these jobs, obviously we need public workers to keep things working.  But do we need to keep hiring temps to help count the people?

At this point our nation would be better off if they hired no new Government workers at all even if it means higher unemployment.  Of course Obama can't allow that to happen because then he can't continue making the claims of a successful stimulus plan and a growing economy.  What are they going to do in June, higher even more census workers?  How many people are going to list Census Worker as their primary occupation on their 2010 income tax returns?

Cheers,

Mike

Is Isreal still allowed to defend itself?

Do you remember when Rodney Kings was beaten by police and the video was all over the world?  did you think Rodney King was at fault in that video?  Maybe you've seen the video of police beating a MD student in Prince George County.  Is that Student the bad guy?  Watch this video and decide for yourself.

Now consider the Jewish response last week to the Flotilla trying to run the Block aid.  Israel has received a lot of heat for their military response but what most are not showing you is the video that shows what lead up to the military firing upon the folks on this ship.  The people on board this ship attacked the soldiers who can on board to inspect the vassal.  They attacked these soldiers with pipes and even threw on of them overboard.

Are they allowed to defend themselves or not?

Burning Seeds???

The Haitians are still struggling  months after their island was rocked by that huge earthquake that nearly destroyed their capital and left many homeless and hungry.  Some are still trying to assist them in rebuilding and getting back to something that resembles normal life.  You would think giving them seeds, actual vegetable seeds so they can get working farms and gardens online would be a great benefit, right?  Would you believe me if I told you that some are suggesting Haitians burn these seeds instead of planting them in order to raise food?

This is actually whats going on right now in Haiti.  Monsanto has offered a generous donation of seeds to the Haitian people.  Please keep in mind these are not GM "Genetically Modified" seeds.  These are Hybrid seeds, exactly the type of seeds that the anti-GM seed movement has been fighting for.  Monsanto decided to donate these seeds instead of GM seeds to avoid another African Style fight against the use of such seeds which may be unsafe.  Until now, no one has ever claimed that non GM seeds could be unsafe, since they are the seeds farmers and gardeners have been using for Generations.

Who is making these claims?  Well it's primarily two groups, the Peasant Movement of Papay (MPP) and the National Peasant Movement of the Congress of Papay (MPMKP).  These groups are supported by Grassroots International’s “Social Justice Campaign" which receives funding from no less than the Tides Foundation, the George Sorros organization that funds Liberal and radical Left-Wing groups all over the world.

These groups claim the use of these seeds are unsafe and will undermine Haiti's food sovereignty.  What does this mean?  Well in short these groups don't like idea of Haiti accepting seeds from a large multi-national private company.  This is what they mean by “food sovereignty”.  Apparently it's better for these people to starve than to accept not food, but seeds, so they can grow their own food and provide for themselves in the long run.

What is this world coming to?

Cheers,

Mike

Impeach Obama!!!

Our Government has opened an official probe looking into BP, A criminal probe on BP what about a probe on Obama & Sestak?  Am I the only one who is asking this question?  They created an official probe to look into BP's liability on the oil spill but not on whether or not our Commander in Chief committed a felony.  Now there is another guy a Democrat Andrew Romanoff of Colorado, claiming he was also offered a job if he didn't run for office.  Sounds like politics as usual from the guy who promised America he was going to run the most open and transparent administration ever.  I don't know about you all but I'm ready to try on my "Impeach Obama" bumper sticker.

Cheers,

Obama just can't get it right

Our President has done so much to make us question his true intentions that even when he does something seemingly good it leaves room to question his genuine motive.  He announced his intention to come up with a way to make congress vote on measures to cut spending.  This is supposed to make it possible for he and future Executives to reduce ear marks and pork but is it?  Or is this really just another ploy?

President Obama is the first President to have his V.P. lay the wreath in the National Cemetery on the tomb of the unknown soldier while still actually in the United States.  G.W Bush of course was in France in 2002 on official meetings.  Obama did this so he could go home for the Holiday.  This upset a lot of people so to make up for it he planned another ceremony at the cemetery in Elwood, IL.  At first glance this seemed like an acceptable solution, but then he cut it short due to rain.  Our troops deal with rain, snow, sleet, heat and hell in order to protect freedom but our President canceled his speech and suggested the crowd take cover in their cars from the on coming storm.  Appropriate?

Now this one is good, President Obama has literally tried every trick in the book with this BP oil spill.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming him in any way, even though I don't like the way he pointed his finger so soon and so adamantly at BP from the very beginning.  I'm not suggesting that there is anything he has done wrong yet,   The man is surrounded by yes men and he's got his media buddies and hard core liberal base salivating at the chance to stick it to BP.  The only problem is, BP is actually trying everything they can think of to fix the leak.

Now we've got a Washington Post Columnist writing a story suggesting that Obama's response is race related while Howard Fineman of msnbc.com says, "The politics of the disaster are Cajun hot, but Obama is cerebral cool".  Ok, I'm not even sure what that means or refers to but it's funny non the less.  I guess it's cerebral to point fingers while having no other ideas that might solve the problem at hand.  I'm going to make a prediction here.  Our president is going to allow BP to continue this until about August if BP still has not figured out how to stop the oil until there relief rig is ready Obama is going to swoop in and take it away from BP, just to show the world that he is taking charge, FOUR months later, when BP's rig is about to show up ready for installation.  I hope I'm wrong, but let's see.

Now Obama is going to visit with Jan Brewer of Arizona. I can't wait to see where this goes, more sure to come.

Cheers,

Mike
