The Plot Thickens, as we dive head first into the abyss.

When Sarah Palin spoke about health care rationing many treated it like she was crazy.  Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and many others have also all insisted that the Health Care reform Obama and his administration fought for would include rationing, but many insisted it was a scare tactic.  Now President Obama has nominated a man, Dr. Donald Berwick to run Medicare and Medicaid.  His Health and Human Services director Kathleen Sebelius said last week, "that he was absolutely the right leader at the right time".

Dr. Donald Berwick is in fact a fan of the English Health Care system, a single payer system.  This Harvard professor has indicted not once but several times he prefers this type of Government system.  In a 2009 interview with Biotechnology Healthcare he said, “The decision is not whether or not we will ration care--the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open”.  So what we have here is another Obama nominee that supports exactly the very same policies that his hard core support swears he does not support.

In one breath Obama and his administration will write off these allegations as scare tactics, in the next breath he nominates a person who supports those policies.  What is America to think?  Why is the MSM media treating this like it's all just another Republican attempt to derail support for our Presidents agenda?

This should come as no surprise but the good Doctor also makes it very clear that in his opinion the only way for us to achieve health care as a human right is to allow the Government to control it and provide for it by redistributing the wealth from the richer to the poorer.

Does the average American know where this nation is heading?

Are there any real Conservative or Libertarian Options in Illinois?

This just in, Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. is considering supporting Mark Kirk for IL Senate.  Mark Kirk is one of the guys who helped get the original Cap and Trade bill through the House last year.  Kirk, who is barely a Republican is certainly not a conservative by any stretch.  Now he may get support from one of Illinois's most popular and connected Democrats.  This begs the question, who does an Illinois Conservative or Libertarian vote for?  More importantly, will the vote actually count?

In my District (IL Senate District 52) there is Guy by the name of Al Reynolds running for the IL Senate who is a good option to upset the status Quo in IL by ousting Michael Friechs who basically votes on spending like a sailor on shore leave.  (No offense to you sailors out there)  Recently he received much fanfare for sponsoring his Taxpayer Transparency Act (SB 3622) and for supporting legislation to reform IL pensions.  The only problem, there was no real reform in the reform bill and no one understood or knew exactly what was in it (Big Surprise Right?).  J. Fred Giertz a professor of economics with the University of Illinois Institute of Government and Public Affairs wrote a great piece on this in CIB.

As for Governor, well there is Lex Green a man who I believe is about as Genuine as they come.  The classic problem while considering any Libertarian candidates however, can he win?  Both major parties have produced knuckleheads as usual, your typical vote for me, "Chicken in every pot" and "I'm not going to take your guns away" kind of guys who have no discernible backbone of any kind.  We had Adam Andrzejewski in the primary but he lost.

There's a guy I'd love to see win, or rather he's running against someone I'd love to see lose.  His name is Joel Pollak he's running against the Socialist Jan Schakowsky in a heavily Democratic district.  I wish him luck he'll need it against the Union powered machine up there.  This is the classic problem in IL, it often comes down to the giant douche and the turd sandwich. :-)

Did Obama offer Sestak a job or not?

I think it's funny that Sean Hannity can put together a complete clip of Press Secretary Robert Gibbs saying no comment over and over and over again about the Sestak Job offer issue and very little of this story has reached the MSM.  If you Google this you find complete coverage on it, from Fox, The Washington Examiner, Politico, Media Matters, Washington Post and The Hill, even the Huffington Post.  But nothing from CNN, ABC, CBS, or any flavor of NBC.  Why is this?

I'm sure those Media outlets have covered this story in some capacity but my point is simply that they are not going out of their way to make it a prominent exposure piece.  It's almost like they don't want to cover it.  I wonder what that's all about?  Me, I would just like to get to the bottom of it and finally find out what really happened there.

There comes a time in every great civilization when people begin to look around and see more and more of their countrymen in chains, chains of bondage. Not always literal chains but chains none the less. I ask you all, to look around at those in your day to day lives and ask yourself, how many are free, truly free. Are they debt free? Do they own their own home and land? Do they live a self sustaining life? If the government went bankrupt tomorrow, would they be OK?

I’m not here to pass judgment on folks who live on Medicare or social security, food stamps or any other type of welfare but these government run programs are chains. These chains are tied around the neck and waist of each person who relies upon them. When our Uncle Sam says jump, we must respond back, how high! Ladies and Gentleman, this is not freedom.

Our Leaders have led us a stray, they have led us to believe that these Government programs are our only means of success. Instead of making it possible for us to succeed on our own, they have stepped in decided for us, that Socialism is best. That only when we are taxed and that wealth is redistributed can we see to the welfare of our fellow countrymen, those who have nothing else. In many cases these people are not bad people but folks who fell upon hard times or folks who simply made one bad decision after another.

In our Nations past we have went through many hardships where many people suffered and have even lost their lives. And each of these times our Government has taken in upon itself to step in, to make this hardship a little easier. At the time this seems logical, after all we pay taxes it seems only right that they step in and give us a hand up. Only after time has passed, after many years can it be realized that this was never a hand up, but a hand out. Our leaders learned, and learned well, that these handouts can buy votes in future elections. What senior citizen living on Social Security and Medicaid is going to vote for the guy who is going to take it away? Even when a promise is made that no one who is living on it or will be dependent on it in the near future will have benefits removed, these people are still weary to trust anyone who says they will break these chains.

People have become so very dependent on these chains that they don’t even realize how heavy they have become.

I’d like to share with you some words by James Madison from Federalist 55.

"As there is a degree of depravity in mankind which requires a certain degree of circumspection and distrust: So there are other qualities in human nature, which justify a certain portion of esteem and confidence. Republican government presupposes the existence of these qualities in a higher degree than any other form. Were the pictures which have been drawn by the political jealousy of some among us, faithful likenesses of the human character, the inference would be that there is not sufficient virtue among men for self government; and that nothing less than the chains of despotism can restrain them from destroying and devouring one another."

Consider for a moment what this must have meant to Mr. Madison. Consider the power of that last sentence, especially the words, “and that nothing less than the chains of despotism can restrain them from destroying and devouring one another”. Now consider what this means to you and reflect for a moment.

We as the citizenry of this great country need to stand up and fight for what we believe. We need to tell our Legislators as well as our friends and family that it’s time to take this freedom back from those who look to keep us enslaved. We need to break these chains and take our country back.

Harry Ward came before Jim Wallis

Sometimes I think Glenn Beck is stealing my ideas for his show.  I swear I had been working on this since April when I first read about Harry Ward, then Glenn Beck goes and does a whole show on this topic before I have a chance to complete it.  Anyway, whether you believe me or not here is my little 2 cents on Harry Ward and the roots of "Social Justice".

Harry F. Ward was on the forefront of Social Justice before anyone even knew who the Marxist Jim Wallis was.  Harry Ward a fellow traveler and professor at the Union Theological Seminary in New York City, actually compared the actions of the communists to those of Jesus.  He also wrote, "The Social Creed of the Churches", the most widely circulated expression of the Social Gospel which attempted to articulate the social ethics of Christianity.  Harry F. Ward was also believed to be involved with as many as 60 communist front organizations as a professor adding credence to the thought that communists were actively infiltrating the education system in this country.

Some have been targeted for pointing out Jim Wallis's beliefs in Social Justice. By his own word he is a Marxist who admits to a belief  the bible teaches governmental redistribution of wealth.  This man was an outcast for decades but no matter how crazy he may be it is important that we do not allow his actions to overshadow the fact that Harry Ward came first in line.  Without Mr. Ward laying the ground work it would have been impossible for this Jim Wallis to operate.

Now it is up to each and every one of us to consider whether we will allow the Government to infiltrate our churches once again in order to use the power of their influence over us.  Keep in mind a large portion of these people are godless to begin with.  Using the church and Jesus Christ as a pawn takes no skin off their back, it only serves as a vehicle for them to further push the Agenda of Progressivism.

Whether or not you're Christian, Muslim or Jew these tactics should scare the heck out of of you.  They've been used before, like so many other tricks.  We need to understand our past in order to survive the future.  In order to see where we are going we first need to know where we are and where we came from.

More internet regulation to come

Does our president really believe American are too stupid to understand there are other views our there. Are we are too stupid to find them on our own? Do we want the government to do it for us?

This actually could help the conservative cause, can you imagine a link to Rush Limbaugh on ever Huffington Post story. A story link on Austrian Economic theory attached to every Paul Krugman piece. hhhmmm the possibilities.

Is this what we want those in Washington doing with their time?

What if, just what if, where do they draw the line?

I can't help but think where do they draw the line? Glenn Beck has said many times he hopes he is wrong but no one has yet been able to prove it or even challenge him on many of his claims. He recently asked America to agree with all our liberal screwball friends, yes Glenn Beck is nuts, but what if there's any truth to it, I know, I know, he's crazy, but what if any of it is true, does it matter?

I would like to pose a question to all the Liberal Screw Balls out there, all the Obama loving, Liberal/Progressive/Socialist nut jobs, where do you draw the line? At what point, is there a point, that you say, "uncle"?  I mean let's say you wake up one day and Cass Sunstein is pouring sterilization drugs into the Ghetto's drinking water, do you scream OMG!, Glenn was right or do you go along with it because Obama thinks it's a good idea?  If China calls us on our debt and we can't repay, then Obama tells them they can have the Midwest as repayment.  Is that acceptable or do you finally break it off?

This is intended as a serious question.  I really want to know if there is line that can be crossed or if you will simply follow this man and his agenda down any path no matter where it appears to be leading.  Is there something that would make you take pause and maybe listen a little more closely to what Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, Mark Levin and all the others have been trying to get America to understand.  At what point do you remove the Obama 08 bumper sticker with a blow torch because you are so disgusted with what America is becoming.

This is not a Party thing, I'm not saying the Republican have all the answers, I just can't help but notice that no matter what he says, no matter what his people say or do there is a core group who will fight and defend it no matter what.  If Bush sneezed wrong the media was all over him, but it seems Obama and his ilk get away with anything.  I want to know where they draw the line, or if there is even a line at all.  This is a question we ought to have been asking back in 2008, but that's the past, let's look to the future while we still have a Constitution to look up to.

Indoctrination is all about teaching kids while they are young, Hoping like hell it sticks. It doesn't matter if they understand the issues as long as they associate words like Obama, Liberal, Social Justice, equality, with good and Palin, morals, religion and patriotism as bad, they have done their job. You can go out on the street and ask people if Obama's Republican party is good for the nation and many people will agree, ask if Sarah Palins republican party is good, and many will boo bad, hiss....

They have allowed themselves to be programmed, Obama means good, Palin means bad. no matter if the rest of the question is completely inaccurate. Details don't matter, information is a distraction.

Behind the Indoctrination is teachers and behind the Teachers are Teachers Unions.  It should come as no surprise that Study after study has been been done, showing that unions and collective bargaining for teachers is a number one reason our education system is in the state it is.  Even Harvard University has tried to make this case, still nothing changes.  Teacher's unions, by the way, make over 95% of all campaign contributions to Democrats.

Here are a few studies and articles worth familiarizing yourself with.

A New Effort to Remove Bad Teachers

A Better Bargain:

Behind the Classroom Door

Beyond Better Wages, Benefits, and Conditions

It's hard to understand how, with so many intelligent people who see the problems with modern public school education, the system is allowed to continue unhindered.  I guess in the real world political donations really do pay dividends to others besides those on wallstreet.

There are teachers and then there are educators, all educators teach but not all teachers educate.  Some are only there for the benefits.

United Tea Party Support Needed

I'm not just writing this for the benefit of the East Central IL TEA party but for all who consider themselves supporters of the Movement.   It has come to my attention that not enough emphasis is being put on  recognition of support.  It's great that we all get along on most issues and it's surely not a requirement that we agree on all issues, but all of us who have taken time out of our lives to attend a Tea Party Rally or even those of us who wanted to but could not, due to work or any other number of life's little requirements, really should be putting more effort to making own positions known.

It can be scary but it's also crucial.  As many of us who have supported this from the beginning have learned, the media and members of Congress will continue to use every tool at their disposal to discredit us and make us look like the enemy.  They will take every opportunity to make us all look like racist idiots.  This can only be combated effectively if we go out and show the world who we are.  We need a symbol, a badge of honor.  Something we can display to show our neighbors as well as complete strangers, "yes, I am the TEA PARTY"!

The Gadsden Flag has become a symbol of the Teas Party movement and would serve well as such a symbol but I'm open to any all ideas.  I know right now supporters are split into two camps, those who wish to form an official party structure and those of us who only want to represent a vehicle of Change either by way of influence or infiltration into the two major parties.  No matter which camp you're in we can and should continue to work together.  This could make our lives much easier if we had a way to notice each other as well as show those who are uninvolved that we exist and participate in all aspects of regular life.  We shop at the same Grocery Stores and we eat at the same restaurants.  Our kids go to same school and we work out at the same Gym.

This would show our communities that the Tea Party is not made up of closet Klan members who come out of hiding two or three times a year to hold a rally, then we go back into our secret bunkers were we plan our next KKK meeting.  This could also serve as a means to open conversation between like minding individuals and serve as a way for those who want to learn more to ask questions.  We need to make our selves accessible and be willing to stand up, ready to challenge and answer anything they throw at us.

Without such a symbol we're all standing alone and the rest of the world might as well believe all the B.S. from the MSM.  They might as well just go along thinking the whole Tea Party movement is made up of crazies who wear tin foil hats and believe the Government is being run by aliens. (If you happen to wear a tin foil hat and believe the Government is being run by aliens, please do not wear such a badge.  We appreciate your support but we don't need more targets.)  I know some people who really want to support the Movement but fear retaliation from employers or government leaders.  This should not deter us.  Already there is an assault on wearing or displaying the American Flag, we cannot allow those who wish to destroy liberty to be victorious.

Please join me in proudly displaying the Gadsden Flag and/or a U.S. Flag on your Cars and/or on your clothing.  Show your support and recognize others as they show their support.

Here is a link to a unique Gadsden/U.S. Flag pin I found online.

Hugo Chavez says, "wealthy Venezuelans involved in the import business buy abroad, come here and ask for more than it really costs."  Well Duh, that's what making a profit is all about.  Why else go to all the trouble?
A recent AP story shows Venezuela inflation rate has gone up to 30%.  The country imports most of its food, and Chavez on Friday announced the government will create an import-export corporation aiming to break with the private sector's "hegemony." It wasn't immediately clear how the new state entity would operate.

More Government Control, just what the pinko doctor ordered.

Greece Riots, Who Riots???

If you pay any attention to what goes on in the world you must be aware that Greece is in a debt crisis right now which has lead to riots in the streets. If you google Greece Riots you will find information and pictures that would lead you believe the whole dam country is about to implode. Fire bombs and destruction are the norm. The real question that no one in the MSM is asking, "Who is actually rioting"? Who is behind the riots and why?

If you dig a little deeper than the headlines you'll see phrases like "the workers", what they mean to say, are the unions. Labor Unions are the root source of the discontent fueled by those in the Communist Party of Greece. Yes, I said Communist. The Communists and the Unions are behind most of these riots.  The Unions in fact are supported by the Communists (KKE) one of significant parties in Greece.  They also have representation from the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) The Majority Party right now in Greece is the  Panhellenic Socialist Movement or the PASOK.

Why is the MSM hiding this fact?  Well in short the United States is following Greece down the same path and many of the issues they're dealing with in Greece we're dealing with right here in the U.S.  Worse is that we have been and continue to institute some of the very same policies that these Greek Socialist and Communists have advocated for years.  These policies have led to a near total financial collapse along with violence and rioting in the streets.  Is this the direction we want to continue heading?

We know that in the past our government has used highly trained operatives to infiltrate other governments and push them in one direction or another.  We also know that our CIA has outright coordinated regime change.  Some of these stories range from common sense to complete and utter conspiracy theory.  How drastic these actions are or where is of no consequence as long as we can agree that "some action" was taken.  If we can agree that "some action", has taken place, are we to be as naive to believe the great United States of America is the only power in the world to use such tactics.  Are we 100% sure that no such action has taken place in our own nation?

Consider how many top level officials we have heard from recently agreeing with Mao, preaching the virtues of socialism, and speaking about the free market and capitalism as if it's dirty and disgusting.  Consider for a moment that Rasmussen did a poll showing  Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism and that survey found that 20% disagree and say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.  Where did this come from?  how is that  a random poll shows 27% don't know?  A recent Fox News Poll asking, "Should the display of an American flag be banned if a school administrator feels that display could lead to fights"?  Shows a lean towards YES.

YES!!!  WHAT???

Now I believe this Fox Poll has been muddied by some group or organization but why?  Consider the only reason to do this is to give the image that most Americans actually believe our flag should be banned as if it's somehow a disgusting or evil thing.  Now ask yourself if you believe this?  If you believe that some group would go out of their way to slant what should be a clearly pro-American poll would they hesitate an attempt to influence others that a pro-American point of view or positive outlook on the American Way is wrong?  Is Ronald Reagan's point of view on American Exceptionalism really dead?

Just a few things to think about the next time you hear someone talk ill of the U.S. or of people who still love it.

A new Story worth checking out, it seems that it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Applying Yoda's philosophy on illegal immigration

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
-Yoda "The Jedi Master"

We must not be afraid of what me must do, we must simply do it. This holds true for just about anything from amputation of an arm to taking back our nation. In regards to Arizona's immigration situation right now who is fearful? who is Angry? who will suffer?  We need to get the job done, we need to secure our borders and make sure the folks who come here follow our laws.

Don't fall for this juvenile argument about Europeans being the illegal aliens since they took land from the Native Americans 500 years ago. Yes, history has shown us that awful things have happened in between Empires and Nations. This has never actually led to any meaningful regime change without first destroying the Nation in question through either war or complete failure of their system. So unless a war or a complete failure of our system is your goal, it only makes sense to strengthen the system and secure it before it's too late.

Do or do not, there is no try...

"Promote the General Welfare"

Possibly the most misquoted and misunderstood  line from the constitution.  Especially today in our current "welfare state".  Many like to invoke this line and the section in the Preamble in order to justify just about anything they want to do with tax payer dollars.

James Madison author of those words said this,

"With respect to the two words ‘general welfare,’ I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.”

What is general welfare? What does this phrase empower the government to do? Has the interpretation of this phrase changed since the era of the Founders? Benjamin Franklin was one of the first to use this term  during the Second Continental Congress in 1775 from it's original implementation in the Articles of Confederation.

To understand it's usage you cannot simply apply current day definitions. The 1828 Webster’s dictionary lists two definitions for welfare.  One which applies to a person and another that applies to States, or bodies of government.  It is safe then to apply the second definition in this case.

"Exemption from any unusual evil or calamity; the enjoyment of peace and prosperity, or the ordinary blessings of society and civil government."

The current Marrian-Websters dictionary has dismissed the last definition and added this current understanding.

"Aid in the form of money or necessities for those in need & an agency or program through which such aid is distributed."

As you can see here the difference between the two definitions is indeed dramatic as they are wholly incompatible with one another.  Let's look at what Noah Webster wrote back in 1833 in regards to word usage and meaning over time.

"In the lapse of two or three centuries, changes have taken place which, in particular passages, ... obscure the sense of the original languages.... The effect of these changes is that some words are not understood ... and being now used in a sense different from that which they had ... present wrong signification of the false ideas. Whenever words are understood in a sense different from that which they had when introduced... mistakes may be very injurious. "

Once the original definition of the “general welfare” clause is applied it is important to than look at more of James Madison's own words.

"Money cannot be applied to the General Welfare, otherwise than by an application of it to some particular measure conducive to the General Welfare. Whenever, therefore, money has been raised by the General Authority, and is to be applied to a particular measure, a question arises whether the particular measure be within the enumerated authorities vested in Congress. If it be, the money requisite for it may be applied to it; if it be not, no such application can be made."

"Madison here refers to the enumeration of powers, the specific list of items stated in the Constitution for which the government is given authority. All other powers not mentioned are denied to the government, as the tenth amendment declares:" - (1) Connor Boyack

The Tenth Amendment, which makes explicit the idea that the federal government is limited only to the powers granted in the Constitution, is generally recognized to be a truism. It would appear when reading history after the progressive era many try to make the claim that the 10th Amendment as written adds nothing to the Constitution as originally ratified.  The supreme court found in 1931 in United States v. Sprague that the 10th Amendment did not prohibit prohibition.  Prohibition of course was repelled later in 21th Amendment. but the damage was already done.

This is why we cannot simply look at current meaning and simply insert it to justify our agenda.  Consider this the next time you hear someone invoke the Constitution to "Promote the General Welfare".
