Who do we really blame for the Economic Mess?

Going back thru a few old issues of Time magazine I found an article on the 25 people to blame (Feb 23, 2009). This story lists 25 people in order that they believe are responsible for the meltdown. I mostly agree with the list but I find a few omissions that can't be overlooked as well as at least one scapegoat.

The list does not even mention Obama friend and one time VP possibility Jim Johnson who led Freddie Mac during the days the books were being cooked. The list includes Frank Raine's the Knuckle Head who was in charge of Fannie Mae. Both received huge bonuses by the way. How do you list the CEO of Fannie but not Freddie?

They also list Bernie Madoff. I guess it's easy to pick on the guy who will be spending the rest of his life in prison. I'm not sure his ponzi scam was large enough to bring down the American economy but what the heck, let's blame Bernie.

Another missing from the list is BARNEY FRANK. My buddy, MR. DAFFY DUCK himself. Mr. There is no problem at Fannie or Freddie. Mr. Frank was sitting as the Ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee in 2003 when Bush wanted more oversight of Fannie and Freddie. Frank spoke out about the lack of need for more oversight at that time. A year later Frank Raine's left in the middle of an accounting scandal, Yeah I guess it makes perfect sense not to include Barney in the list.

And how about Chris Dodd. The Senator and Chairman of the Banking Committee. The Senator who received one of the VIP "Friends of Angelo" loans from Country Wide. The same Dodd who received one of the highest proportions of contributions from Fannie and Freddie at the time. The very same Senator who had many questionable business deals and has a reputation for living off of his constituents money.

I can't say I agree with putting Alan Greenspan on the list. I know he has gotten a lot of bad press in relation to the whole scandal but I personally remember him warning that the Sub-Prime loans, if the market goes bad would effect the overall World Economy like we've never seen before. Just because he lowered rates which made it possible for Wall Street to manipulate the system, doesn't mean he made them do it. He didn't Call Angelo and say, "hey why don't you take that radical new loan idea those Sandlers made up and offer it to folks who won't be able to pay in 3 to 5 years. Then you can make an ass load of money, hahahaha".

I mean really,

CNSF Questions Anyone?

CIVILIAN NATIONAL SECURITY FORCE

What is this?
Who is the enemy?
Who serves?
What is the Military?
What do the Police do?

WHY IS GLENN BECK THE ONLY ONE WHO IS STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS???

These are only a few questions I think we as Americans should be asking. What kind of leader forms a security force that is loyal to the leader, not the nation, but the leader? A few jump out at me. Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Benito Mussolini for Starters. I believe Stalin also had people loyal to him above his nation.

Knuckle heads accused George W. Bush of having private security not accountable to the public but I don't think those claims were ever substantiated. Obama publicly announces that we need a Civilian National Security Force as strong and well funded as the U.S. Army. What does that mean? Who is in charge of such a thing?

I'm not saying that I think this is sign that President Obama is going to be Stalin.

But why is an American Leader doing this? Is our President aware of history? Does he realize that as President of the United States of America. The Leader of the FREE world, some might balk at him doing things that compare to the likes of Hitler and Saddam Hussein. Even worse our political leaders are lashing back at folks who ask the questions.

Just last week the Liberal pundits were talking about how there might a racial element to the fact that a man with an assault rifle and side arm went to go see President Obama in Arizona. I saw many shots of the rifle on T.V. I didn't see a picture of the whole person, until Glenn Beck showed it on his show. The man was black. If there was a racial element than I guess it's yet another case of that black on black racism that I've been talking about.

Health Care Reform I'll get Behind

The Native Americans by treaty have Health Care provided to them by the U.S. Government. This is by far the worst health care anywhere in the country. This health care is required under law. If the U.S. Government wants the American people to believe a government option health care system is a good idea, then why don't they show us how serious they are by first fixing the system provided for the Native Americans. I also think they should first make the Postal Service Profitable.

Then and only then, when 8 out of 10 Native Americans claim they are happy with the health care they receive and our Government Postal System actually pays for itself, I'll get behind a plan that is controlled by the Federal Government. How long do you think this will take? Have Hope! Change can happen:-)

To see how bad health care is for Native Americans see these stories.

Barney Frank Blasts Women who asks Nazi Question?

You know back in the day, in 1940's Germany if someone spoke out about Adolf Hitler they were not treated very well. In fact some just disappeared and some were flat shot dead. In 1930's Germany it was a little different. Before you could be shot, they simply beat you up. Before that, they ridiculed you and discredited you. My point is it got progressively worse for doing nothing more than asking questions.

I'm not suggesting that Obama is Hitler and the Democrats are Nazi's

But when you look at what's going on, you can find many, MANY similarities on what the Nazi's did. When you find similarities you begin to wonder and ask questions. Apparently we have reached the level where you can be discredited and ridiculed, by our own leaders nonetheless. HHMmmm The Nazi's sent thugs to be loud and do their dirty work. Now our leaders are doing it themselves. I guess our government is different after all.

Check out this video of Barney Frank explaining how our Government health care would be different from the Nazi's Government Health care.

Kinda looks like ridicule and discrediting to me???

Mark Lloyd of the FCC

This guy is going to try and change the face of talk radio as we know it. If he has his way most of the small town and mid major city radio stations are going to to forced into top 40 music, sports and NPR. You can forget Rush, Beck, Hannity, Boortz or your favorite Conservative talk show. Unless of course they move to Satellite Radio and you can afford it or you can listen to their shows online. This could turn out to be the largest silencing of free speech in the history of America.

Mr Lloyd said this;

“The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) must be reformed along democratic lines and funded on a substantial level. Federal and regional broadcast operations and local stations should be funded at levels commensurate with or above those spending levels at which commercial operations are funded,” Lloyd wrote. “This funding should come from license fees charged to commercial broadcasters. Funding should not come from congressional appropriations. Sponsorship should be prohibited at all public broadcasters.”

In 2006 while serving the "Liberal Center for American Progress" Lloyd wrote a book entitled, (Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America) This book presents the idea that private broadcasters (private business) should pay a licensing fee which equals their total operating costs. This would allow the the public broadcasting station to spend the same on their operations as the private companies. How is a private business going to be able to absorb that kind of cost. The simple answer is, "they won't"!

If you enjoy talk radio you need to follow this and make your voices heard.

Watch this video for an introduction to Mr. Lloyd. Please watch the whole video, as the first 3 minute actually sound pretty tame. He gets to the point in the final minute and half, where he sugar coats the agenda of control by way of tax revenues. Market equalization as he puts it.

AARP Supports Obama Health Reform Myths

The AARP has a pro propaganda website stating myths about Health Reform. Well the Myths aren't hard to challenge.

How can you actually state these myths and feel good about yourselves and service to retired people.

Myth #1 Health care reform is socialized medicine
Of course it's not being sold as Socialized medicine now. But what's going to happen when too many private firms go out of business. More and more people will be forced to go to the Government Plan. Our president has said himself that he favors a single payer system but that it will take 10 to 15 years to complete. He has only very recently said he is not in support of such a system, how convenient.

Myth # 2 Health care reform means rationed care.
Again they are not saying it will lead to rationing care. What do you think will happen when so many more people rush for care and the system gets overloaded? Providers will have NO CHOICE, but to decide who gets care and who does not. This will effect your members most of all. How dare you sell this idea as safe to your members.

Myth #3 Health care reform will hurt Medicare.
The plan is not final, so how can you say for sure. Several Senators have said that they would consider rolling Medicare into the Health Reform. Again nothing is final but it's just as misleading to tell your folks that it's not going to happen as it is for someone to say it's going to happen.

Myth # 4 Health care reform is too expensive We can't afford it.
The Country is broke now, we are living on credit, mostly from China. SO YOU FIGURE IT OUT!!!Does this mean we can't work to fix the system? Of course not. But we can't afford a new trillion dollar expense. Our money is already hardly worth the paper it's printed on.

Myth # 5 Myth: Health care reform means the government can make life-and-death decisions for you.
If the system gets overrun, and rationing occurs this is exactly what could happen. Once again, I'm not saying that this is how the plan is being written but what happens in 10 years 20 years if any of the worst case happens. The Government bureaucrats who run the system will by default be making life and death decisions.

I really wish you would pull your support of this plan. There are simply too many unknown factors at this time. NO ONE is saying we should do nothing. We need to work on this and get it right, not just get it done.

Grass Root or Astro Turf?

Man I was on top of this months ago when I first got involved with the Tea Parties. When I went to my first Tea Party I called a Sign Shop and asked how much it would cost to make me a sign. I scoffed at the quote I received and decided to buy poster board and Markers at the office supply store. I then asked myself how some many protester's on T.V. have pro printed signs, it must cost a fortune, oh well I thought I'm going to make my own.

Now, the Liberals in Washington are calling me and folks like myself Fake, Astro Turf. Wait just a minute. I went to the Town Hall meeting here in Danville, IL and a group got off a BUS a CHARTED BUS with Huge Signs Pre-Printed Signs. This was before the media and Nancy Pelosi started to accuse us of being a GOP MOB. And again I asked myself, what is going on here. Who is paying for this? Who paid for full size "First Student" Charted Bus to bring these organized protester's to a town hall meeting?

Now I see and hear that others have made the same connection and I'm kicking myself, why didn't I speak up when I first noticed this, oh well. The important thing is that people are noticing, they are noticing and talking about it. For years now, Liberal lapdogs have gone to protests with nice clean printed signs yelling and screaming about some thing or another waiting for the camera and then leaving and yet no one asked, who printed the signs for those folks. Grassroots, my ass. I have more Grass growing there then those fools have I GUARANTEE IT!

Cheers,

Mike

My report of Fishy Behavior to the White House

I realize that writing this email will likely put me on some government watch list but I'm going to send it anyway.

You asked for citizens to send reports of fishy behavior. I'd like to report the fishy behavior of our president and members of the majority party in Congress. It seems that they are lying about their intentions with Health Care reform. I don't need a fishy email or over exaggerated online story to see what's going on. I've been listening and watching. I've heard what President Obama said before he was President. I've heard what lead Democrats have said before they decided to publicly renounce the idea of a government take over. I think this video pretty wells covers it. You asked for fishy, well here it is.

Job Add

I wonder what Liberals would say about this Add for a job?

Looking for a semi-talented person who has trouble passing a basic competency test. Candidate must not have any advanced education or experience and should feel comfortable working in group environment where individually motivated persons are chided and threatened by the rest of the workforce. Raises will be decided by seniority alone, your hard work is not necessary. White European Americans and African Americans preferred. Americans who do not show any loyalty to another country by adding it before American, need not apply. Special Consideration will be given to illegal immigrants if they register to vote in the next election. Please do not bother to show up wearing nice clean professional clothing as this will be considered as not keeping it real.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying:-)

Cheers,

Mike

Cash for Clunkers Fails (Is a Huge Success)

I guess it depends who you ask. If you ask someone with Conservative values the plan is a dismal failure. If you ask someone with a liberal point of view it's a huge success. How can this be? Even more confusing is the fact that both Republicans and Democrats voted to increase funding at the last minute to keep the plan alive. I heard someone say that this is the most successful stimulus plan yet.

The plan ran out of money in 4 days. They planned for the money to last for 4 months. If your family goes thru 4 months budget in 4 days, is this a huge success? Do you run to bank and take out a loan so you can keep spending money? Does the bank give you the loan?

I'm not a big fan of the Cash for Clunkers program. I don't think it was a great idea to pay people for cars that still had value just so we could turn them into scrap with no value. I fail to see the logic in destroying a car, not recycling, destroying. This is a green plan? Now that I see the politicians falling all over themselves about how huge of a success this is, I fear that we will not see the end of it for some time.

Well if they do continue the plan you might want to consider buying one of those $300 cars from the news paper classified and get it insured and registered so you can drive it in for a credit next year:-)

Cheers,

Mike
